    I'm Kristen Chimack—founder of Down-to-Earth Insights and known to many as The Hotel Whisperer.

    After more than 30 years leading events inside a Fortune 50 company, I now help organizations, associations, and retreat leaders find and negotiate the right hotel venues—making the process smart, clear, and easy.

    Throughout my career, I have led thousands of meetings and events, from conferences, incentive trips, retreats, and executive events. I’ve seen firsthand how much the right venue—and the right contract—can impact an event’s success, and how overwhelming hotel sourcing can feel for those who don’t do it every day.

    Today, my work as The Hotel Whisperer focuses on hotel sourcing and negotiation. I handle the research, outreach, and contracts so clients can focus on the experience—not the logistics. My approach is simple: smart decisions, clear guidance, and well-negotiated agreements without the stress.

    I also support coaches and leaders who want to host retreats—helping them think through venues and logistics so their retreats are well-run and aligned.
